Hardcover books, final rewards and Valor post-Kickstarter

Hello everyone! We are pleased to announce that we've finalized the printing for the book. It is expected to ship out to us around the 1st of June, and barring major complications should be arriving to all backers, along with the other physical goods, by the end of the month.

We want to once again thank everyone for their generous support, and for bearing with us as we figured out shipment for the rewards and other issues along the way. This was our first venture into Kickstarter and we were blown away by the outpouring of goodwill and the genuine excitement for our project. We truly cannot be more grateful.

Beyond this, you will see us work to make good on your investment. Our website, while still basic, is now up and running, you may access it at valorousgames.com. Our aim is to continue to expand the offering here with articles and eventually further content. Most updates on Valor will be posted there, so stay tuned for more news! Currently, we're working on three different projects to provide more content to Valor players. The first is a regular, free column that will be posted monthly. This will have adventure paths and stat lines for use in your games. The second is the start of our Valorous Realms project, which will take the form of a number of different media and start fleshing out official campaign settings for use in play. The third is the Monster Manual, which will offer hundreds of pre-constructed monsters, as well as some new skills and abilities not seen in the core book for use in campaigns.

There's a lot in store for us but for now, look forward to the rest of your backer rewards. We're excited to get them out to you all and we hope you're having fun with our system!

Valor Books finished at the printer

We have just been notified that the books have been completed at the printer! 

 This is very exciting for us, it means we will soon be able to finally fulfill the bulk of our Kickstarter rewards. We're very much looking forward to sending these out to all of you, the books should be shipping from Asia and we expect them to arrive within the next few weeks. Once they've arrived and cleared customs, we'll pick them up and share some pictures of the process, get them all packaged, and get them sent out. Thank you all again for your support, you made this possible!

Pre-release PDFs have been released!

Pre-release and book release status

Hello everyone! We've received the completed version of the pre-release copy from layouts and it's looking great. We're currently working with Backerkit to get the file sent out, at the moment we're having some difficulty reconciling the file size and we hope to have that resolved within the next day or two. We'll be sending that out ASAP, we apologize for the delay on our end for getting that out. The pre-release version will not ship with the Sample Campaign as we haven't quite finished the layouts and final edits on that portion, but all backers will receive updated PDFs immediately upon completion of that portion.

Looking ahead, we are targeting an April 13th release date for the full PDF book that includes the Sample Campaign. We'll be sending it to the printer at that time and expect the full shipment of hardcover books to arrive in either May or June, depending on the situation with the West Coast ports.

We again apologize for the delays on the PDF copy, we've run into some unexpected issues but we are working hard to get them resolved and get this book released as soon as possible. Thank you again for your support and we'll have this out as soon as we can!

Tentative PDF release date and hardcover release update

Hello everyone. We want to apologize for the radio silence over the last few weeks. We have a few exciting things to talk about, and a few not-so exciting things. First of all, we're working on final edits for the rulebook, and will be getting it out at the beginning of April. Our tentative release date for the PDF copy of the book is <b>April 3rd</b>; we will let everyone know if this changes as we get closer to the release date.  

The hardcover copy of the Valor rulebook will take a bit longer to get to us. We are currently dealing with port issues here in Seattle, so that has put our time table out by at least a few weeks. It is our hope to be able to get the hardcover books sent out by the end of April or, at the latest, sometime in May. We will send out another announcement if this changes. Other physical rewards will be sent out with the books, this means that posters, pins, shirts and other items will be shipping either in late April or early May. 

 For those people in the Seattle area, we will be at Sakura-con from April 3rd-5th demoing the system. Come visit us on Friday and Saturday between 11am-5pm. We will be putting out more updates as we get closer to release. Thank you everyone for your support!
